Dr. Baker is the founding Director of the Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center and the Ruth Dow Doan Professor at Michigan Medicine. For 20 years, Dr. Baker was the chief of the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the U-M. He is also a professor of biomedical engineering in the College of Engineering and the Director of the Michigan Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and Biological Sciences. His prior accolades include the Distinguished University Innovator Award from the U-M Office of the Vice President for Research and the Damen Award for Distinguished alumnus from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine.
Dr. Kenneth Starr is board certified in both Addiction Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He received his B.A. in Molecular Biology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and his MD from Texas Tech University. Dr. Starr is double board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine and spent 20 years as an Emergency Medicine Physician with experience in rural, suburban, and major trauma centers. He spent two decades teaching medical students, residents, nurse practitioners, physician assitants, and first responders. Since 2016, he has been a Medical Expert Reviewer for the Medical Board of California. He is currently on staff at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande Hospital and Cottage Santa Ynez Valley Hospital in Solvang, California.
Dr. James Tolle is a pulmonary intensivist at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN with 19 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern medical school in 2001 and completed his pulmonary residency, internship, and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. He was valedictorian of his college and medical school class. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care.
Brad Sexton is currently President & CEO of Live Media Group Holdings. Sexton is a 25-year career executive in the entertainment, music, sports and broadcast industry. Brad brings years of experience with business growth, operations, client relations as well as team management. His direct experience and knowledge in the startup and capital raising phases allows SafeSite ™ to tap into resources and skills that are much needed.
Julie Lorene Vanderpool, NP, RD is a nurse practitioner and registered dietitian with over 18 years in the medical field. She graduated from Purdue University in 2000 and has dual master degrees in nursing from Vanderbilt University and public health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was awarded both the Hilliard Travis Memorial and Kathleen S. Nelson scholarship and received the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Iota Chapter. Julie is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner and basic life support, and works as a gastrointestinal nurse practitioner in Nashville, TN.
